EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE!!
Paaws RI was just notified that we will be receiving a grant this year from the RI Foundation.
This grant was written as a joint request from Paaws RI and Providence Animal Care and Control (the Providence municipal shelter).
We are excited to share that the grant will be used to reduce the number of unspayed and unneutered cats in Providence. Far too many litters of kittens are being born despite the law that mandates cats be spayed and neutered, unless they are owned by a licensed breeder.
Unfortunately, some of these kittens are born to stray or feral animals, and these kittens almost always suffer or die at an alarming rate.
But, WE ARE NOT GIVING UP!
If you would like to help us reach even more cats, please consider making a donation.
All funds will go directly to spaying and neutering more cats.
