Kayak
Never giving up
Meet Kayak!
I am trying to find a home with a nice quiet family and settle down. You will need to have a little patience and understanding with me because sometimes I get nervous around new people.
The last humans that I trusted had me declawed and then abandoned me at Wood River. I was all alone in the forest without my claws to defend myself, I couldn’t even climb to safety! It was really scary and I hope they outlaw “declawing” everywhere soon, so no other cat has to suffer as I did.
I was so happy when I was finally rescued and they took me to PAAWS RI to get help. I don’t mean to hurt anyone, but sometimes I bite when I am startled or overwhelmed. Being all alone after my last family abandoned me was very hard.
I still love people, but it takes time for me to trust them. We will be best friends once I get to know you, just give me a little time to feel safe again. I hope you come and visit me at the next PAAWS RI open house.
HEALTH
I am neutered, up to date with all of my shots and microchipped! I am also declawed.
SPECIAL NEEDS & NOTES
I don’t have any special medical needs but I can get very nervous and easily overstimulated because I was declawed and abandoned. I just need you to be patient with me until we get to know each other better.
