PAAWS RI Moving Forward...
After 40 years of helping thousands of animals, Dr. Rauch has retired from veterinary practice, marking a new chapter for PAAWS RI.
Over the years, PAAWS RI provided affordable care to pets who might otherwise have gone without. Though we no longer offer direct medical services, our commitment to vulnerable animals and the people who love them remains.
PAAWS RI is evolving into a grant making fund within the Rhode Island Foundation (RIF). We have named this enterprise the “Feline Welfare Fund of PAAWS RI”, and it will be used to make directed grants to IRS recognized (501c3) non-profit organizations who are actively working toward our same fundamental goal of helping felines. In addition, PAAWS RI intends to become an educational resource by means of a new web site, and to provide limited financial assistance to low-income feline pet owners.
We are grateful to donors, volunteers, and friends who stood with us. Your generosity has saved countless lives and will continue to do so as we enter this next chapter.
